JOB DUTIES (Will Train)
Counter locksmithing and repair service
- Re-keying locks (Commercial, Residential, & Automotive).
- Troubleshooting and repairing locks.
- Cutting keys and working with master key systems.
Assist with day-to-day shop work flow
- Backup on shop email communication
- Answer incoming shop calls.
- Assist with general shop and showroom floor upkeep including cleaning, stocking, and organizing.
- Assist with key records management including creating and maintaining records
Skillset development
- Take an active role in your professional growth by developing the skills, knowledge, and confidence to become a well-founded locksmith.
- Utilize internal and external resources to build your capabilities and increase independence, allowing operations to run more efficiently.
requirements
- More than 2 years of previous work experience
- Enjoys hands-on work and has a strong mechanical aptitude
- Good problem-solving and logic skills
- Detail oriented
- Strong communication skills
- Customer first attitude
- Comfortable working autonomously and/or as part of a team
- Ability to organize/plan daily time
- Ability to pass a background check, drug test, and DMV record check
- HS Diploma
PREFERRED WORK HISTORY
- Familiarity with residential and/or antique hardware.
- Previous locksmithing experience.
- Work experience requiring mechanical aptitude.
- Bilingual (especially those fluent in Spanish or Somali)
